| Jazz: up beat dance style that has evolved using elements of ballet and
Influenced by rhythms and techniques of jazz music. |
| Tap - dancers have a choice on two styles of tap. A technique class that involves each dancer to test steps before moving up to the next level, and a more fun hoofer style tap class that works coordination and complex foot work. Tap levels are color-coded. You will be told which tap class is yours upon registration. |
| Ballet - The program will help develop the dancers discipline, strength and work on improving poise, posture, and grace. |
| Lyrical - is a fusion of ballet and jazz dance techniques that challenges dancers to use motion to interpret music and express emotion. A solid ballet based technique is an essential component of this advanced style of dance. |
| Hip-hop: street dance class mixing funk and hip-hop with video dance styles. |
| Pre-dance: for 2, 3, 4 year olds - introducing dance in a fun and creative way. |
| Acro dance: physical exercise learning to develop and display strength, balance and flexibility. A combination of dance technique with acrobatic elements. Pre- acro is for 3,4,5, year olds, acro 1 is for beginners, acro 2 is for returning acro dancers. |
| Modern: a form of dance as a performing art. Characterized by bodily movements and rhythms less formalized than in classical ballet, and in favors of a freer movement style. |
| Jallet: ballet with a jazz twist. |
| Cheer Dance: Basic cheer moves that are precise, synchronized motions combined with dance styles like jazz, hip-hop, and sometimes kick line. Pompoms and stunting may also be included in some routines. |
