POLICY AND PROCEDURES/TUITION Fall 2010
TUITION IS DUE THE 1st OF EACH MONTH. SUMMER IS DUE PRIOR AND/OR UPON SUMMER CLASS REGISTRATION. CAMPS MUST BE PAID PRIOR TO HOLD SPOT. (DUE BY MAY 29TH) PAYMENTS CAN BE MADE BY CASH, CHECK, OR CREDIT CARD (VISA AND MASTER CARD ACCEPTED)
A $20 FEE WILL BE CHARGED FOR ALL RETURNED CHECKS. A LATE FEE OF $10 WILL BE INCURRED AFTER THE 8TH OF EACH MONTH.
Bills will not be sent home, tuition should be place in tuition box, or handed in to the office. Payments can also be mailed directly to the studio.
Summer tuition goes as follows: first 4 weeks acts as 1 month tuition, 2nd 4 weeks acts as 2nd month tuition. Tuition is not pro-rated for missed class; if you are missing for vacations, etc., please pay appropriate hourly amounts provided, on tuition sheet.
Family rates: to include 15% discount for each additional student in the same family.
Tuition is based on a yearly fee. You will receive an 8% discount for paying your tuition in full by October 31st 2009. Monthly payments start August-May. Summer Session begins June immediately following spring show.
Tuition is not pro-rated due to absences, weather, or scheduled closing. Liberal make-up classes will be available.
Placement fee $10 new students $5 for re-turning students (in fall) is required
Costume and performance fees:
A $35 costume fee is due Oct 1 2010 for fall show.
A non re-fundable costume fee of half of the balance of the total costume fee is due Jan 1, 2011, for the annual spring performance. (Costumes are $60 each) full costume balance is due March 1, 2011. Costumes balances paid after March 1st will subject to a $10 late charge per costume.
A non-refundable performance fee is due for fall ($5) and spring ($15)
Walk-Ins are accepted, please check website for class schedules. Walk in fee is $12.
Arrival and departure times - Students should arrive no earlier than 10 minutes prior to their scheduled class times. Parents are expected to pick up their child promptly at the end of the scheduled class time. The studio will not be responsible for students once their class is dismissed. Please remember if you are walking your child into the studio for any reason, use appropriate parking areas.
Absences and make-ups - Students are expected to attend classes on a regular basis. Please notify the studio whenever an absence is necessary. If a child misses 3 classes in a row, a phone call will be made. Regular attendance is mandatory for pre professional dancers. Rehearsals for performances are very important (please check website for rehearsal times and changes that make occur).
Class observation - A flat panel monitor is available in the waiting area for observation.
Performance - we will have a fall performance held before holiday break, and a spring performance held at the end of the school year. Performance date is usually the Saturday following the Memorial Day holiday weekend, however sometimes it changes according to the school. Exact times and dated for 2010-2011 will be available at a later date.
Inclement weather - In case of inclement weather, please call the studio for cancellations. The studio does not always close in accordance with Frederick county schools. T he studio does not pro-rate tuition for weather cancellations, but make up classes may be available.
